Thirteen North Carolina students at this summer’s Eastern Music Festival have received scholarships from the DEJOYWOS Family Foundation. The scholarship funding comes from $20,000 that the Greensboro-based foundation gave to EMF. This marks the foundation’s fourth year of support. Wos is a former U.S. ambassador to Estonia and former secretary of the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. DeJoy was the chief executive officer of High Point-based New Breed Logistics and XPO Logistics’ supply chain business in the Americas. He is now president of LDJ Global Strategies, a strategic real estate investment and consulting company. For 58 summers, EMF has provided classical music instruction to students from around the world, under the artistic direction of Gerard Schwarz.
