Wyndham Championship

The DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation is a long-time sponsor of the PGA’s Wyndham Championship. Founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, the Wyndham Championship is played annually at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC, and has been creating significant charitable impact for the greater good of the Piedmont Triad community. Their focus on inspiring the next generation through education and supporting community development is aligned with the initiatives of the DeJoy-Wos Family Foundation.

The family’s support of the Wyndham Championship began in 2008 when Louis DeJoy was Chairman and CEO of New Breed Logistics, and the family foundation has continued that support since 2015. Louis DeJoy has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the PGA Wyndham Championship since 2011, and was the Honorary Chairman of the 72nd annual Wyndham Championship.

The 2025 tournament was the 86th renewal of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event. The Foundation continued to show significant support for the tournament through sponsoring The Louis DeJoy & Aldona Z. In 2021 and 2022, the DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation continued its support of the tournament and the return of The Louis DeJoy & Aldona Z. Woś Family Foundation Wednesday Pro-Am event. In 2020, Wyndham Championship did not host a Pro-Am event because of COVID-19 restrictions, the DEJOY\WOS Family Foundation made a $50,000 donation for the event.
